Operations Update - Covid-19
We are open for bookings for our 2023 season from May 12 to October 13. We look forward to welcoming you to the Resort! Our plans meet all industry guidelines for COVID-19, with the goal to ensuring all staff, guests and our communities remain safe.
On September 7, 2021, Canada’s borders opened for recreational travel to fully-vaccinated travellers from any country. Fully vaccinated travellers are those who have completed the full course of vaccination with a Government of Canada-accepted vaccine at least 14 days prior to entering Canada and who meet specific entry requirements.

As we continue our season, we will require all guests visiting to complete a health questionnaire prior to their arrival.

Desolation Sound and our wilderness location offers an abundance of open spaces. Outside you have the ability to move freely around the grounds, from massive dock areas and surrounding waters, through the trails in the surrounding forest. Inside the main lodge with its lounge and dinning area, we have introduced new health and safety protocols so everyone can enjoy the comforts of our shared space, while having a safe place to relax and enjoy. We will continue to follow new health guidelines as they arise. More details on these guidelines by the BC Center for Disease Control, a division of the BC Ministry of Health is being followed and found here: Covid-19 Guidance to the Hotel Sector.
In our rooms, we have maintained a high level of cleanliness, supplemented by new sanitization standards required by WorkSafeBC.
