Facilities & Guest Amenities
Klahoose Wilderness Resort sits on the shores of Thee chum mi yich (Homfray Channel), surrounded by forest, mountains and the waters of Desolation Sound. With just four lodge rooms and three private cedar cabins, it offers space to gather with fellow guests and quiet places to take in the setting. Lodge rooms accommodate two to four guests, while cabins accommodate two to five.
The lodge
At the heart of the resort, the spacious Great Room has massive cedar beams, a wood burning fireplace and views across the water. It is a place for conversation and evening gatherings, as well as yoga, presentations and meetings.
All inclusive meals are prepared by our culinary team and served in the dining room, Great Room or outdoors.
On the water
Swim from the resort, explore nearby waters by kayak or paddleboard, or unwind in the floating wood fired cedar sauna. Our large floating dock provides floatplane access. Deep water moorage is available only with a resort stay.
Exploring Klahoose territory
Our covered boats carry guests between Lund and the resort, and our team assists with luggage at each end of the journey. During all tours including the marine life & waterfall tours offered in our Discover Klahoose season boats are heated and have an onboard washroom.
In grizzly bear season, guests travel by boat to Toba Inlet, then take a short drive in our minibuses to the Klite River. There, our guides lead guests to fixed, covered viewing platforms to watch for bears.
Around the resort
Explore the nature and hiking trails through the surrounding forest independently, or spend a quiet moment taking in the views. Outdoor dining areas, a seasonal campfire space offer more ways to enjoy time outside.
Experiences and practical details
Your stay includes guided experiences led by experienced guides and cultural interpreters. Depending on the season, these may include marine and wildlife tours, grizzly bear viewing in Toba Inlet and Klahoose cultural experiences.

Wi Fi and a satellite telephone are available in the main lodge. There is no cellular coverage at the resort. Clean hydroelectric energy powers the property. A heli landing area is available for private helicopter arrivals and heli-excursions.
