How to Get Here
Klahoose Wilderness Resort is located just north of the Sunshine Coast in a remote deep water channel called Homfray Channel. The resort is oceanside in the lush coastal rainforest of the British Columbia coast. Surrounded by the calm waters of Desolation Sound and the rugged Coast Mountain range the Resort is only accessible by water or air.
To get to us, we offer a boat transfer departing Lund, British Columbia on Thursdays and Sundays, between Desolation Sound and the Resort. Our boat takes about 45 minutes, and is included in your stay.
Stays are inclusive of all meals, tours and boat transfer from Lund, for 3 and 4 nights and the Resort boat transfer from Lund Harbour is scheduled between May and October.

How to Get to Klahoose Wilderness Resort
OPTION 1: WATER TAXI FROM LUND, BRITISH COLUMBIA
Drive (5 hours) from Vancouver or Vancouver Island to the Sunshine Coast with BC Ferries to Lund, BC. Park your car in Lund (parking paid locally).
Water Taxi is 45 minutes from Lund to Klahoose Wilderness Resort
Departing Lund @ 3:00PM on Thursdays and Sunday
Departing Klahoose Wilderness Resort @10:30am on Thursdays and Sundays

OPTION 2: FLY FROM VANCOUVER TO POWELL RIVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA
Scheduled Flight Pacific Coastal Airlines flight from Vancouver International Airport South Terminal to Powell River Airport.
Flight is 35 minutes from Vancouver to Powell River / Land Transfer from Powell River Airport to Lund is 45 minutes.
Rate: $420 per person plus tax, round-trip flight. Powell River Airport -Lund shuttle and water taxi is included in your package - book through Klahoose Wilderness Resort or Pacific Coastal Airlines.
OPTION 3: SEAPLANE FROM VANCOUVER TO KLAHOOSE WILDERNESS RESORT
Scheduled seaplane flight CorilAir Charters, from Vancouver International Airport South Terminal direct to our dock.
Flight is approximately 60 minutes from Vancouver to our dock and may include additional stops.
Rate: $800 per person plus tax, round-trip - book through Klahoose Wilderness Resort or CorilAir Charters.
OPTION 4: CHARTER SEAPLANE OR HELICOPTER
Charters from Vancouver, Campbell River, Lund, Tofino, Whistler, Victoria, Seattle or anywhere nearby - direct to our dock.
By Land and Ferry
The drive from Vancouver to Lund, located on the northern end of the Sunshine Coast is considered one of the most spectacular car journeys in North America. The route includes two BC ferry crossings with plenty of additional sightseeing options along the way. The total journey time is typically 5-6 hours with several picturesque villages and ferry rides en-route.
The 40-minute crossing from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale captures the magnificent scenery of Howe Sound and the B.C. Lower Mainland. A beautiful 90-minute drive from Langdale can include detours to the coastal village of Gibson and ends in Earls Cove where the Saltery Bay Ferry conveys passengers for 50 minutes across still more sublime scenery. The final one-hour drive to Lund passes through historic and now booming coastal town of Powell River.
On Vancouver Island, BC Ferries regularly depart Comox, close to Campbell River, for a 1 hour 20 minutes crossing to Powell River. Lund is about 45 minutes drive from historic town of Powell River.
Our boat transfer from Lund Harbour to Desolation Sound and the Resort, takes about 45 minutes and is scheduled to depart at about 3:00 pm on Thursdays and Sundays.
By Scheduled Air and Transfer
Located deep within the heart of the remote Desolation Sound biosphere, Klahoose Wilderness Resort is remarkably accessible. Several flight options are available and can be booked through the Klahoose reservation team.
a) Scheduled flights with Pacific Coastal Airlines departs from Vancouver International (YVR) South Terminal to Powell River Airport (YPW) and only takes 35 minutes, followed by our pre-arranged road transfer (1 hour) to the charming coastal town of Lund. Upon arrival to Lund Harbour guests are greeted by their local host and take a scenic 45 minutes covered boat transfer into Desolation Sound and Klahoose Wilderness Resort.

b) Scheduled flight with Corilair Charters departs Vancouver International Airport (YVR) South Terminal direct to our dock and takes about 1 hour. The seaplane flight is beautiful as you fly over the BC coast and you may stop at other small float plane accessible locations, in the Desolation Sound area. Note: Schedules are based on Corilair schedule and are subject to change. Please check with us of the most up to date flight schedules.

By Charter Flight
Private pre-schedule seaplane charters are available from Vancouver, Whistler, and Seattle directly to the Resort dock. Shorter charter flights can be arranged from Vancouver Island, Tofino or Campbell River. Seaplane Flights from Vancouver International (YVR) South Terminal direct to Klahoose Wilderness Resort's dock take about 1 hour.
Private pre-scheduled helicopter service directly to the Klahoose Wilderness Resort’s front lawn is also available from Campbell River or Lund and takes about 20 minutes.

It is also possible to access Klahoose Wilderness Resort by private boat or scheduled expedition cruise ship excursion and stay with us with one of our packages. We do have limited moorage for boaters looking to stay with us on one of our 3 or 4 night all-inclusive packages.
